How to Check Aadhaar-Bank Linking Status: Step-by-Step
Four ways to confirm whether your Aadhaar is seeded with your bank account for DBT — pick whichever is easiest.
Method 1: UIDAI bank mapper (website)
- Go to resident.uidai.gov.in/bank-mapper.
- Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number or 16-digit Virtual ID.
- Fill the captcha and click Send OTP.
- Enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile number and submit.
- The screen shows your masked Aadhaar, the bank name, the seeding date, and status active/inactive.
Method 2: mAadhaar app
Log in to the official mAadhaar app → My Aadhaar → Aadhaar–Bank Account Link Status → enter Aadhaar number and captcha → OTP → verify.
Method 3: USSD (no internet needed)
From your Aadhaar-registered mobile, dial *99*99*1#, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number, confirm it — the status appears on screen.
Method 4: NPCI BASE portal
On the NPCI website, go to Customer → Bank Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE) → Aadhaar Mapped Status.
Reading the result
Active means DBT payments can reach that account. Inactive or no record means payments will fail — see our seeding guide to fix it. Note: the mapper shows only the last seeded account; with multiple accounts, confirm with your bank which one is mapped. Back to the DBT link overview.
